The Global Display Solution Promotes Blakley

The Global Display Solution has promoted Kristy Blakley to the position of Thrilled Customer Team leader. In this new role, Kristy will be responsible for ensuring long term key accounts are completely satisfied with their service and kept up-to-speed on the latest products to build their businesses.

Blakley joined Asia Sources as a customer service representative in 2007 and quickly learned the business. The following year, she moved on to take over some sales duties, including a key responsibility with Whole Foods. At the time, the company counted thirty Whole Foods stores as customers. That number that today, much to her credit, has surpassed the 240 store-count.

In 2010 Blakley was promoted to Account Manager, a responsibility she managed from her remote office in Minneapolis. “She’s just done a remarkable job,”Earle Bevins, general manager of the Portland, Ore.-based company said.

“During our annual company review this year, we decided to reorganize the business and create a leader for what we call our ‘Thrilled Customer Team,’those customers who we have a long-standing and solid rapport,”Bevins said. “We don’t ever want to take them for granted and decided to work hard to make sure they weren’t just satisfied with our relationship, that they were thrilled. And the one person that came to mind to take on that kind of challenge was Kristy.”

“It is a natural progression for me,”according to Blakley. “I value the relationships our company has built with these core customers and now I can focus more on continuing to understand their businesses so we can better partner with them in terms of making sure they have what they need and are aware of new product offerings.”

Last year, Blakley earned accolades spearheading the winning bid for a custom, in-store lottery ticket kiosk for the Washington State Lottery.

“It’s that combination of out-of-the box thinking, attention to detail, and great understanding of our customers’needs that will help her succeed in this new leadership position,”Bevins believes.

“It has been a pleasure working at Asia Sources from nearly the beginning and being involved with all the changes,”Blakley, who is closing in on a decade with the company said. “I am thrilled to see how much we have accomplished as a team over the years and in my new role, I look forward to continuing to work with our core customers. They are, and continue to be, an important part of our success."
